Inspired by the fairytale picture books of her youth, Kerry Darlington is a Welsh artist whose work is bursting with charm and nostalgia. We are thrilled to present to you her limited edition resin sculptures, each a colourful reimagining of a favourite fairytale character. Appealing to adults and children alike, Kerry’s work would create a truly magical collection.

Born in the 1970’s, Kerry Darlington is a highly regarded artist who intended to become an illustrator of children’s books. But her career was to take an unexpected turn. After graduating with a degree in illustration, she accepted an offer to work in South America before joining a design company where she created clay murals. She eventually branched out on her own and this was a considerable risk that paid off.

Kerry’s interest in picture books together with her fascination with the Pre-Raphaelite and Art Nouveau styles was to yield an unusual and captivating cannon of work. Her early abstracts were inspired by satellite imagery of the Earth! But her creations evolved to feature charming and irresistible subjects. Naïve in style and incredibly colourful, her work boasts the quality of the finest animations. Quirky details and surprising complexity draw you in and each of Kerry Darlington’s sculptures takes you back to your childhood.

Now one of the UK’s leading contemporary artists, Kerry boasts a totally unique style. This and her quirky subjects ensure that her paintings and sculptures are instantly recognisable. Kerry is in a class of her own and you now have the opportunity to enjoy her endearing figurative pieces in your own home.
