Sanit Phokrachang Sculpture
Growing up in the rice fields of central Thailand, Sanit Phokrachang spent his early years in the countryside where he enjoyed observing nature and developing a passion for wildlife. He was a creative soul with an interest in art and so it was inevitable that he would study the subject. He enrolled at Lad Krabang College of Fine Arts upon leaving school and then attended Thailand’s most prestigious art college, Silapakorn University where he gained a BA in Fine Arts.
Sanit began his professional career by painting and etching but his talent for sculpting soon came to the fore. He now concentrates on sculpting wildlife studies, portraits and contemporary pieces, each boasting an impressive sense of movement.
The uniquely beautiful work of Sanit Phokrachang is certainly captivating. We are honoured to showcase his talent at Sculpture Gallery and we feature his signed limited edition solid bronze pieces. Published in 2017, Osprey captures the essence of the much-loved bird and was cast using the traditional lost wax process by Richard Cooper Bronze. This impressive sculpture would be a fabulous investment and one which would create a striking focal point for any space.
