Surrealism Sculptures
Our Collection of Surrealist Sculpture at Sculpture Gallery
Surrealism as a concept took off in the early part of the 20th Century. Soon, ideas from the protagonists of the movement began to find their way into many works of art, through many different media, including paint, film, literature and sculpture. Amongst those who came to the forefront of the Surrealist movement was Salvador Dalí, famous for his dreamlike paintings of immagination, which clearly have no basis in reality as one would normally recognise it.
The Surrealist sculptures that we have available explore the dreamlike and seamingly implausable. They exist to inspire the observer and set them free from the rational control of thoughts. Amongst our collection is a number of works by celebrated Surrealism artist, Salvador Dalí. You will find sculptures of some of Dalí's most recognisable themes including Time, Elephants and others.
