Boxing Hares (2012) - Butler and Peach (Solid Bronze Sculpture)
Miniature Sculpture of Boxing Hares by Butler and Peach
The Hare is one of a number of animals that is symbolic of the British countryside. In the springtime the usually shy Hare can sometimes be found 'boxing'. This odd behaviour is thought to be the origin of the famous idiom "as mad as a March Hare".
This miniature sculpture perfectly captures the essence of a ritual that is unique to the Hare and one for which the species is famed, boxing. This piece would make a great starting point for a collection or as an addition to an existing collection. Butler and Peach are famed for their range of miniature sculptures of the animal kingdom and 'Boxing Hares' is a chance to own a wonderful example of their work.
